This new interactive
work-text provides students with the opportunity to develop proficiency in
life management skills, including how to set goals, improve thinking skills,
communicate effectively and change habits.
The work-text is suitable
for self-study as well as for use in the classroom, work-based staff
development settings and in support groups. Individual and group activities
are provided in each chapter and are aimed at both left-brain and
right-brain dominant learning styles.
These activities meet the
needs of the seven multiple intelligences, as identified by Howard Gardner.
While learning, students can self-assess their level of proficiency by
following a provided matrix.
All of the SCANS
competencies are addressed in this book, making this an up-to-date resource
for adult competency and proficiency. |
